Scenes from the 125th Anniversary

On the Feast of Sts. Philip and James we celebrated the 125th Anniversary of our congregation with a High Mass. We were blessed to have Fr. Christopher Esget, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Virginia and Synodical Vice-President for the Eastern Region, as our preacher. Fr. Stephan Gramenz, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Pawling, New York, served as deacon, and Mr. Alexander Togba served as subdeacon. Fr. Charles McClean, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour here in Baltimore, served as our organist. Several from the congregation served as a liturgical choir, chanting the propers. We were blessed to also enjoy a grand feast after Mass, put on by the ladies of the Society of St. Monica. Special thanks goes to Miss Sharyn Rhodes who wrote the Memorial Hymn sung during the dinner and who serves tirelessly as our Altar Guild. We were also blessed to have excellent wardens from the Society of St. Mark, acolytes, and ushers.
