Ascension of our Lord

Transfiguration_Raphael

Thursday, May 29

The Annual Pizza Supper starts at 6:00 p.m..

The Divine Service will follow at 7:00 p.m..

For forty days our Lord continued with His Church after His Resurrection. Yet then He ascended into the clouds. Yet our Lord says that this was to our advantage, for He will continue to be with us in the the Church by the sending of the Holy Spirit through His work in the preaching of His Word and the administration of His Sacraments. Furthermore, He prays for His Church as our own High Priest before our Father in Heaven, making intercession for us all.
